A tompot blenny is a small intertidal fish. It's also the name under which Carl Bassett, with the aid of guitarist Craig Wheatley, recorded two 7" EPs for Shinkansen, Thinking Of Ways Of Keeping You Warm and Green Is The Best Colour. An album, Found Under Blankets, followed. After a gap of some years, Carl has gone on to release four more LPs and an EP.
